I debated sharing one of my fancier recipes from the archives- One that would you fool you into thinking my life looks like a Dwell magazine. Which would be a total lie.
Here are my daily goals of late:
Eat a vegetable
Wear sunscreen
Kill a fruit fly
Where did that efficient productive person go? That person went on summer break.
To live, we must create, and to create we must live.
Living happens in moments. Moments happen in seasons.
Summer: hot days, long nights with friends, sunscreen and deodorant everywhere, irresponsibility.
Also summer: tomatoes and basil, lemon and garlic, cool watermelon, and buttery corn on the cob…
Let’s live summer all the way. That’s inspiring in its own right.
Sharing my quick and dirt-free (high-five me for washing vegetables ✋✋) summer stir fry recipe template. Just stir around summer squash, garlic, lemon, with whatever other summer veggies you have on hand.
Fresh mint takes that summer fresh flavor to new heights in ways that words cannot describe, so just trust me and prioritize fresh mint.

Garlic-Lemon Summer Squash Stir Fry
Serves: 4
Frequently googled fact: Zucchini is totally a summer squash. Here’s the rest of the summer squash lineup: Yellow squash (fat bottom, tapers at the top), patty pan squash (looks like it was grown in a scalloped pastry pan), and crook neck squash (bent neck, you’ll know it when you see it).
After flavor, the next key element to killer stir fry is texture. Snap peas are the counter-crunch here to the soft squash along with some nuts at the end.
Other fun summer things to throw in are fresh corn, basil, and cherry tomatoes.

I’m working on a series of prints celebrating my neighborhood for an upcoming art opening ✨
More news soon. In the meantime, enjoy a sketch of a local pup.
Happy cooking, happy making!
Cheers,
